Considered one of the tiniest countries of Europe, it abounds with charms, history, and seriously enchanting sceneries. You name it: Luxembourg offers for an enthusiast of a medieval castle, quaint towns, and just breathtaking hikes. This one I had an opportunity to explore, and believe me, each moment in Luxembourg is worth every experience.

The number one thing here is to lace up your walking shoes and grab the camera! The following are the top 10 places to see when in Luxembourg.

1. Vianden Castle

If one had ever wanted to step inside a fairy tale, Vianden Castle would have been that opportunity. Situated in the picturesque town of Vianden, this medieval edifice sits atop a hill located to the northern side of the Our River.

Why visit?

One of the most beautiful feudal residences of Europe.

The top yields jaw-dropping views. 

Pro Tip: Enjoy the golden leaves passing by the town during autumn, or take in the atmosphere during Vianden Medieval Festival in August.

2. Luxembourg by Old Town

The oldest city in Luxembourg, Ichnach, is full of attraction. Wander through medieval roads, go to the basilica St. Wilibord and experience the mood comfortably.
